Every Saturday of the month we have a chance to support our local farmers with the weekly Farmer’s Market. If you have never been, then you are in for a treat. You can purchase items from several local vendors, connect with your neighbors, and enjoy listening to some amazing, live music. The Farmers Market is designed to help the nutritional needs of our community and promote the economic well-being of our area farmers and growers. It is a Bartlesville tradition held at the Frank Phillips Park and one I think you will enjoy!

Take me out to the ballgame, buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks! The Sandy Koufax World Series will be held here in Bartlesville, OK July 29th – Aug 2nd. The Sandy Koufax World Series is the AABC 14U championship game. Teams from sea to shining sea will be coming here to Bartlesville to compete. This will be a fantastic weekend for baseball fans! PlayForBurk presents Alex Boye in Concert

The PlayForBurk Foundation is bringing Alex Boye to concert on August 22nd at the Bartlesville Community Center. Boye’s musical journey began in a Tottenham neighborhood, where he was influenced by Motown and other soul greats like James Brown, Jackie Wilson and Otis Redding. In 1995 he launched his professional music career as the lead singer of the European boy band, Awesome. While performing with the band, Boye sold over half a million records, and performed shows alongside numerous superstars, including Bryan Adams, The Backstreet Boys, George Michael, Simon and Garfunkel and MC Hammer. Agape Mission’s Empty Bowls Fundraiser

The annual Empty Bowls lunch fundraiser will be held from 11AM to 1PM, August 25th, at the Bartlesville Community Center. Empty Bowls fundraiser is for the Agape Mission located in downtown Bartlesville. Lunch sponsorships are available ranging from the Golden Spoon Level at $500 for eight tickets, to Silver Spoon level at $250 for four tickets, and Wooden Spoon at $100 for two tickets. Individual tickets are also available for $20 each.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $20, if not sold out by that date. Twenty-four local restaurants have supported this event and will be providing lunch. Ticket price includes choice of a hand-painted bowl, lunch, and participation in the silent auction! To become a sponsor or to purchase individual tickets, contact Katie Wright at 918-337-7705.
5k and 2k Fun Run to Support College Scholarship Fund Saturday, August 29, 2015
Are you ready to go footloose and fancy free? Then dress up in your favorite 80’s gear, lace up your running shoes, and join your friends on August 29th for a 5k/2k Fun Run!
Not into running? No worries, bring your family and walk, run, or cartwheel your way to the finish line. The event is for all ages and is open to the public. All proceeds go towards a college scholarship fund for the Bartlesville High School!
The race and fun run will take place on the authorized pathfinder route on Shawnee Avenue in Downtown Bartlesville on August 29th, 2015 at 9:00 AM. Late Registration is at 8:00 AM.
